Worked as needed

With a trip to Norway and all the rain that comes with this country, a good rain jacket was a must. It preformed very well as needed keeping me dry. It’s also light weight for toting around, and large enough to wear a warmer jacket underneath when needed. The best part sleeve length, I have long arms and hate when a jacket is short in that area.

My go-to hard shell for alpine environments!

I love the Patagonia Triolet jacket. The Pollinator Orange color is the best color in the Patagonia line-up in a while. The fit, the zip placement of the chest pockets, the hood arrangement, the Gortex protection and packability of this hard shell make this a perfect 5-star product. I loved this color and shell so much that I purchased another same colored hardshell.

Do it All Rain jacket

I use this Jacket for everything, MTB, snowboarding/Touring, Work, or when I know the rain is coming or Wet conditions its Always with me (easy to pack) will sacrifice a bit of weight for some more waterproofing.

GoreTex is still King!

I knew exactly what I wanted and this last week proved I was right. I am finally in a place in my life where I can buy the good stuff. Spent a week skiing (inbounds) in miserable weather with my new Triolet jacket AND Triolet pants. Snow, rain , wind, sleet, graupel. . . had it all. Stayed dry and warm inside even though at times I was pretty much soaking wet outside. Super light and easy to move in, hood fits over a ski helmet, but just barely. Used the pit zips on the long traverses. Everything you need and nothing you don't. If I was designing the next jacket I might put another small drop in pocket on the other side too-not that you need more pockets, but I carry a very small water and a food bar, so instead of putting both in one side I would like to balance out the load and reduce bulk in one area. Of course you can use the excellent chest pockets for that too. I have always believed in GoreTex and I still think it rules the industry with regards to waterproof and breathable membrane. Patagonia doesn't make all their shells in GoreTex, but they make the best ones in GT. I finally had to head to the lodge due to exhaustion and when I got there all the racks were full. Packed with wet people who weren't have fun haha. Another bonus is that the Triolet gear drys out very quick and I dig the belt loops on the pants-I am over suspenders!

Triolet Jacket

There is a reason why this jacket has been in the line for so long. It is the work horse of the line. The new Gore fabric has a pleasant touch and not to noisy. I like that it has four pockets plus a large one on the inside a good place for mitts and torque.
