GORE-TEX AccessWear Service Beta Test Terms & Conditions (Updated July 9th, 2025)

Throughout this document, the term "subscriber" and "member" refers to participants who have been selected for and enrolled in the GORE-TEX AccessWear Service Beta Test with an active paid subscription.

The term "user" refers more broadly to anyone engaging with the website, including individuals who have signed up or are on the waitlist but may not yet be actively subscribed.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in the GORE-TEX AccessWear Service Beta Test ("Beta Test"), provided by Disruptive Edge, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and any additional guidelines shared during the Beta Test period.

2. Eligibility Participation is limited to residents of the United States and Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec) who are at least 18 years of age.

3. Beta Test Description

The Beta Test provides access to premium GORE-TEX Jackets through a flexible outerwear service. Users may select from three plan types:

  • Destination Ready: One-week rentals with upfront payment.
  • Flex Access: Monthly membership with flexible swapping.
  • Seasonal Pro: Seasonal membership designed for long-term users.

Each plan includes unique pricing, commitment durations, and benefits.

The Beta Test will run for a minimum of four (4) months. You will receive at least one month of notice before the test concludes.

If users signed up to the initial beta test service which is a subscription-based service that provides access to premium GORE-TEX Jackets for a variety of outdoor activities. Participants may still swap jackets a max of four (4) times annually, subject to availability and we reserve the right to put you on a plan of equal or lesser value. Pricing and features are subject to change.

4. Subscription and Pricing

  • Destination Ready: $50/week, 1-week minimum
  • Flex Access: $25/week, billed at $100 every 4 weeks
  • Seasonal Pro: $12.50/week, billed at $50 every 4 weeks (3-month minimum commitment)

All plans are billed in advance via accepted payment methods (Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, PayPal, Stripe). Pricing is subject to change.


5. Jacket Swaps and Management

Subscribers may swap jackets at the end of each billing cycle.

If you're on Flex Access or Seasonal Pro, you may swap your jacket anytime. No swaps are included in Destination Ready.

6. Additional Jackets

Subscribers may request additional jackets at the following rates:

  • $15/week for Flex Access
  • $10/week for Seasonal Pro

Requests must be submitted prior to the start of a new billing cycle or before shipment of the first jacket. All additional items are subject to availability.

7. Damage and Warranty GORE-TEX AccessWear Service will repair or replace jackets damaged through normal use at no additional cost. Users must submit warranty claims via their account or by contacting support@goretexaccesswearservice.com. 

8. Fit and Performance Guarantee

If a jacket does not meet your expectations regarding fit, waterproofing, windproofing, or breathability:

  • Flex Access and Seasonal Pro users may request a no-fee exchange within five (5) business days of receipt by contacting support.
  • Destination Ready users are not eligible for performance-based exchanges. If you encounter a significant issue with your jacket that prevents its intended use (such as a clear sizing error or failure in waterproofing), you may contact support@goretexaccesswear.com. While we cannot guarantee exchanges, we will review issues on a case-by-case basis and may offer a resolution such as a refund or service credit if warranted.

9. Returns and Return Timing

Jackets must be returned using the provided prepaid shipping label, or you may request a new label if needed.

  • Destination Ready: Return within 24 hours after the end of the rental period. 

Late returns are subject to a $50/day fee. After 7 days, full jacket retail value may be charged.

  • Flex Access & Seasonal Pro: Return within 48 hours after the last day of your billing cycle, or within five (5) business days of receiving your new jacket if you swap.

If your jacket is not returned within 48 hours after the end of your billing cycle, or within five (5) business days of receiving a new jacket (if you swapped), your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged for continued usage.

10. Subscription Changes, Pauses, and Cancellations

Pause: You may request to pause your subscription on the platform at any time. The pause will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle or time-based commitment (e.g., 1-month or 3-month minimum). Your profile, saved jackets, and rewards will be preserved and can be reactivated when you resume your membership.

Cancel: You may cancel your subscription on the platform at any time after completing your minimum commitment. Upon cancellation, your profile, saved jackets, and unused rewards will be removed. You will have access to the platform until the last day of your billing cycle.

Jackets must be returned by the end of your billing cycle for a pause or cancellation to take effect. If jackets are not returned on time, your membership or late fees will be applied automatically.

11. Data Privacy and User Information Data collected during the Beta Test is used solely for testing, feedback, and service improvement. Refer to our Data & Privacy Policy for details. 

12. Website Use and Limitation of Liability The Beta Test website is provided "as-is" for transactional use. Information, content, and features are preliminary and subject to change. Use of the website is at your own risk. GORE-TEX AccessWear Service and Disruptive Edge disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages or losses arising from website use during the Beta Test.

13. Shipping & Tracking

Jackets are typically shipped within three (3) business days after your order or swap request is confirmed. Delivery normally takes between three (3) to seven (7) business days, depending on your location.

Occasionally, shipments may take longer due to unforeseen delays or service disruptions. If this occurs, we will notify you via email and ensure your jacket arrives as quickly as possible.

All return shipments must use the provided prepaid shipping label and can be tracked through the link provided. You will receive a confirmation email once the return is processed.

14. Product Quality and Hygiene All jackets undergo professional cleaning and quality checks between uses to ensure high standards of performance, cleanliness, and hygiene.

15. Feedback and Communication Participants are encouraged to provide constructive feedback regarding any aspect of the service, including but not limited to product quality, website experience, jacket swaps, billing, and customer support. You can contact us or give us feedback at support@goretexaccesswearservice.com. 

16. Beta Test Termination Participants will receive at least one (1) month's notice prior to the conclusion of the Beta Test. Upon completion, further participation will depend on the full service launch.

17. Intellectual Property Rights All content, trademarks, service marks, logos, and materials on the website and related to the service remain the intellectual property of GORE-TEX AccessWear Service or its licensors. Use of these materials is prohibited without explicit written consent.

18. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GORE-TEX AccessWear Service, Disruptive Edge, their affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use or misuse of the service or website.

19. Governing Law These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State in which Disruptive Edge operates, as well as the applicable laws of Canada, excluding the Province of Quebec, without regard to conflict of law principles.

20. Changes to Terms & Conditions GORE-TEX AccessWear Service reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of significant changes via email.

By participating in the Beta Test, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions.
